Eardisley Fire Station
It is well known that there is a Fire Station in Eardisley, but not so well known what we do and who we are.
Recruitment of new firefighters is crucial to keeping the Service going. Currently there are twelve volunteer firefighters at the Eardisley Station. They are:
| Name | Duty |
|---|
| Allan Clayton | Watch Manager |
| Nick Baker | Crew Manager |
| Phil Eggerton | Crew Manager |
| Dave Valentine | Firefighter |
| Chris Valentine | Firefighter |
| Ralph Morris | Firefighter |
| Andrew Sherrott | Firefighter |
| Colin Powell | Firefighter |
| Martin Jones | Firefighter |
| Rob Jones | Firefighter |
| Nick Crumb | Firefighter |
| Tony Raymond | Firefighter |

We cover an area of approximately 7 miles radius from the station and can also be called anywhere in Hereford & Worcester to assist at larger incidents.
We attend an average of 85 calls per year. Calls are very diverse. As well as fires, we attend Road Traffic incidents, chemical spills, water rescues and animal rescues.

We have to keep up to date and develop new skills, so we train every Thursday evening in Eardisley, and sometimes go further afield for training as well, for example at the Real Fire House at Kidderminster. Some people in the community may have seen the short film that was made a few months ago showing a training session on a Road Traffic Incident.
We like to take part in fire prevention activities in the community, especially making sure the children in the communities can visit and learn how to be safe in their homes.
